Training and career

Dr. Jessica Kennedy is a board-certified internal medicine physician who has practiced with Northwestern since 2012.

She completed medical school in 2009 at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, where she was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. She went on to complete residency training in internal medicine at Northwestern in 2012, where she received multiple Resident Teaching Awards.

She then joined Northwestern Medicine as an internal medicine physician and practiced in the Lakeview neighborhood of Chicago for ten years. She remained active in teaching as a Clinical Instructor of Medicine at the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine and as a preceptor for the Education-Centered Medicine Home, a longitudinal primary care experience for medical students, where she received multiple Outstanding Teacher Awards. She was also active in physician IT and electronic health record initiatives and served on several committees in that capacity.

Dr. Kennedy started her own practice in 2022 to provide personalized, convenient medical care, with the time it takes to care for the whole person, both in and out of the office.

She continues to teach medical students through the Feinberg School of Medicine and is on the medical staff at Northwestern Memorial Hospital.

Outside of medicine, Dr. Kennedy enjoys city life with her husband, two daughters, and dog. She loves spending time with family and friends, reading, and traveling.
